Naija Glastonbury !!! NSSFF 2013 Edition

Despite the torrential rain on that day, the 2nd annual NSSFF sports day was well attended. Though the number of guests in attendance reduced slightly mostly due to the weather, those in attendance (650) had great fun.

"WE SHOWCASED ALL THAT IS GREAT ABOUT THE COUNTRY (NIGERIA) FROM PASSION FOR FOOTBALL TO ATHLETICS, AFROBEAT AND OF COURSE FOOD".

Special guests included Deputy Mayor of Bromley, Cllr Judi Ellis, Stephen Kola-Balogun Hon. Commissioner for Youth and Sport Osun State (Nigeria) and Richard Taylor OBE. Our headlining DJ was DJ Abrantee, the award winning club, TV & Radio DJ –Capital Extra (formerly Choice FM).

Our aim to increase the awareness of the importance of education in Nigeria was unwavering. We remain a platform for alumni organisations to showcase the important work being done.

Charities that we supported included WaterAid & ACLT.

ACLT: “With support from community groups like NSSFF and greater awareness, we hope to hold other registration drives at some point in the future creating better awareness and increasing the numbers of donors on the UK donor registers. We look forward to working with you again”.
