NSF (UK), in partnership with KIKO Educational Ltd, an educational consulting company, is proposing to setup a an Education Excellence Hub as part of its education and school improvement strategy package to support Nigerian schools. The partnership has developed an offer to help transform teaching within NSF (UK) Alumni schools back in Nigeria. This initiative aims to help to close the teacher competency gap, thereby, improving the educational outcomes in schools.

The Education Excellence Hub

This blog is intended to raise awareness of the project among NSF (UK) member schools and other stakeholders, so as to increase interest and participation in the programme when it goes live. The plan is to work with NSF(UK) members that register their interest and with their school leaders back in Nigeria to deliver effective teacher training, enhance school improvement and excellent academic outcomes in their schools. This will require a close working relationship between the alumni (based in the UK), the school's teaching and the administrative staff (both based in Nigeria) and the NSF (UK) education consultant. The programme is being piloted with six schools and others are encouraged to join. Details of the programme were presented at the NSF (UK) members meeting, held on Saturday 9th February 2019.

The Education Excellence Hub by NSF (UK) and KIKO Educational Ltd is a powerful initiative aiming to boost teacher training and school improvement in Nigeria. Just like educators need structured support, students often seek help with statistics homework to achieve academic success. The pilot involving six schools sets a promising path for impactful change. Close collaboration between UK-based alumni and Nigerian school leaders will be key. This program is a step forward in closing the competency gap and driving better learning outcomes.
