What does NSF(UK) have in common with the Royal Commonwealth Society (RCS)?

On the 11 March 2019 alongside many people from across 53 countries, NSF(UK) attended the annual Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey.

This annual event has become very popular with our young people as they discover exciting facts about the Commonwealth and come up close to the Royal family and other dignitaries. This year’s enthusiasm was no exception as we enjoyed the largest inter-faith gathering in the United Kingdom in the company of Her Majesty The Queen, Head of the Commonwealth.

She was accompanied by; The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and The Duke of York, to the annual Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey. Also in attendance were the UK Prime Minister, Theresa May, High Commissioners, the Commonwealth Secretary-General, dignitaries, faith leaders, commonwealth sports champions and senior politicians.

This year’s theme was 'A Connected Commonwealth'. There were talks about global warming and other important issues.

A major highlight for the young people was watching a close-up live performance by the group Clean Bandit who played their award-winning song ‘Symphony’.

NSF(UK) is pleased to offer our young people this unique opportunity to be inspired as does RCS whose aim is to celebrate the unity, diversity and links of the modern Commonwealth and to foster greater understanding of the Commonwealth’s achievements and role, particularly among young people.

Have you figured out yet what NSK(UK) has in common with the RCS? Yes, our passion to see our young people thrive by offering inspirational experiences.
